EEC onboarded me for an exciting campaign, “Phekani Fast,” which showcased quick meals that users could prepare in line with the country’s load management schedules. This was an exciting yet challenging assignment, aimed at encouraging emaSwati to embrace and support the national grid by providing practical tools and recipes to manage temporary power shifts.
The campaign included creating recipes suited for this context and producing videos to demonstrate how they were prepared. Dishes featured included the 90-second chocolate cake in a mug, Umbhidvo wetintsanga pies, chicken and cranberry pies, creamy chuchuza-infused pasta, and a chicken schnitzel sandwich.
The campaign was well received and sparked meaningful conversations among emaSwati, positioning “Phekani Fast” as both responsible and useful. It equipped people with practical ways to navigate the stress of power interruptions, turning an inconvenience into an opportunity for creativity in the kitchen.
