Luju Headliner Chef 2023
In 2023, I had the honor of headlining the Culinary Programme at the prestigious Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival—my first-ever public stage appearance, delivering a live Dessert Masterclass to a captivated audience. Recognized for my expertise in desserts, I shared the stage with renowned culinary talents, including Chef Mokgadi Itsweng, Richard Bosman, and wine sommelier Tinashe Nyamudoka.
My signature masterclass featured one of my all-time favorite desserts: baked cheesecake—a dish that has been close to my heart since my teenage years. From my first taste to mastering the delicate craft of cheesecake-making, this moment was a full-circle experience. This opportunity not only solidified my confidence as a chef but also opened doors for future collaborations and chef demonstrations.
Luju Cook-Off Competition 2022
In 2022, as I reintroduced myself to the culinary space beyond my brand, Mrs M Decadent Pleasures, I competed in the Pick n Pay Luju Cook-Off Competition and proudly secured a spot among the top 5 finalists. Cooking alongside talented home cooks was a pivotal moment in establishing my name in the food industry, paving the way for brand collaborations with both local and regional partners.
Luju Festival Trader (2019 – Present)
My journey with Luju began in 2019 as one of the first local traders at the festival’s debut edition. Year after year, I have returned to offer festival-goers the best in decadent desserts, signature treats, and handcrafted beverages, which have become a festival highlight. Beyond just a marketplace, Luju has been a powerful platform for growing my brand, connecting with customers, and showcasing the full scope of my culinary expertise.
